7. Joy Luck Teahouse’s Michelin-starred Beef Brisket and Tendon and Michelin Bib Gourmand Mala Chicken

Joy Luck Teahouse is expanding its menu to include Michelin-worthy offerings such as Beef Brisket and Tendon, Mala Chicken, and Kung Pao Chicken.

The Beef Brisket and Tendon is created by Chef Cheng Kam Fu, who hails from the Two-Michelin-Starred restaurant Celebrity Cuisine in Hong Kong. The stew calls for liberal use of spices, which impart a complex depth of flavour. Mala lovers will swoon over the Mala Chicken, which follows the recipe by Chef Ng Kong Kiu of Ju Xing Home fame. For the dish, tender chunks of chicken are immersed in a thick, flavourful sauce.

Finally, there is the Kung Pao Chicken, which melds savoury, slightly sweet and mildly spicy notes. The recipe is the brainchild of Executive Chef Lau Chin Man, who helms Spring Deer Restaurant.
