1. Heritage goodies
Under the helm of Chef Daniel Tay, the well-loved Old Seng Choong has made a comeback — as a tribute to his father who once ran the confectionary from 1965-1996.
In time for the Lunar New Year festivities, the e-business has launched four goodies, namely Carrot Cake, Yam Cake, Red Date Cake and Nian Gao. Of the four, the Carrot Cake ($23.80) stood out for its generous pieces of dried shrimp and lup cheong (dried Chinese sausage).

2. Dim sum for supper
Leading up to the Lunar New Year, IKEA will be open till 12 midnight on three exclusive Fridays and Saturdays – Jan 15-16, Jan 22-23 and Jan 29-30.
If all that shopping leaves you famished, enjoy late night snacks like Siew Mai and Mini Lian Rong Pau, as well as Chicken Wings, for just $1 from the IKEA restaurant. Dim Sum Deals will be available from 9pm till 11pm (IKEA Alexandra) / 11.30pm (IKEA Tampines).

3. Weekend brunch
Weekends are made for lazy mornings and leisure brunches. If you’re running out of ideas, head over to Argentine restaurant BoCHINche for their all-new weekend brunch menu.
Diners can look forward to five new dishes including Smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, Dulce de leche pancake and Organic poached eggs, mushrooms & potato ragout. Prices range from $19-$26.

1. People’s Park Complex’s carpark transformed into a ‘living room’
As part of Singapore Art Week 2016, the fifth floor carpark space of the historic People’s Park Complex will transform into a ‘public living room’, where you can chill with like-minded friends to the tune of more than 20 artists, workshops and installations.
Also not to be missed is a one-day-only re-creation of a Singapore ‘60s Tea Dance on Jan 23 featuring The Pinholes and Southeast Asian vinyl from that era.

3. Stories of historic flea market before it disappears
Come 2017, the historic Sungei Road Flea Market will make way for the Sungei Road MRT station. To honour this transitory space, ‘One By One Metre Space’ will exhibit art forms inspired by the 1m x 1m area allocated to each vendor at the market.
Expect a myriad of art forms where paintings, sculptures, moving images and performance art which will form conversations and exchanges around the phasing out of this historic flea market.

1. Grab a spot in a Valentine’s drive-in movie event
Celebrate the season of love in style with Citroën on Feb 13 with food, film and cars. The biggest highlight, the drive-in movie Priceless (Hors de prix), is also one of the most critically-acclaimed romance films. The Mini Food Fair here will also offer delectable food and desserts to complement the movie. You can even get your caricature done and go wild at a Velcro photo booth.
From now to Feb 1, spaces will be reserved for the first 120 cars who register for a drive-in spot for the movie.
