WeekendList: 5-7 September 2025

We are talking about food and hotel staycations this weekend!

1. The Singapore Food Festival 2025

As September approaches, Singapore’s iconic food scene prepares to take center stage again with the return of the Singapore Food Festival 2025. Now in its 32nd year, this beloved showcase brings decades of culinary excellence together, honoring local heritage while spotlighting cutting-edge creativity.

This year’s theme, “Have You Eaten Yet?”, captures how food speaks volumes in Singaporean life—showing love and care through feeding. More than a question, it’s a shared ritual highlighting Singapore’s deep connection to meals, memories, and family.

From 4 to 24 September 2025, the festival will serve an impressive blend of tradition and innovation. Dempsey Hill’s Mise en Place transforms into a lively hub, hosting over 15 signature and pop-up events. Highlights include stunning desserts crafted by chef Adriano Zumbo in his first Asian venture. These multi-sensory dining experiences flash between art and food, and pop-up feasts scattered around the city. This year, the humble hawker also takes the spotlight at the Chinatown Complex Food Centre, where time-honoured hawker dishes celebrate craft and community in partnership with SFF 2025. Fashion and food unite as creative director Daniel Boey fuses his visionary style with the festival’s bold spirit. Whether you are searching for nostalgic bites or looking to taste the future of dining, SFF 2025 promises a journey where every dish tells a story and every event invites you to reconnect—with your palate, our shared culture, and the people around you.

Dempsey Hill’s Mise en Place is located at 8D Dempsey Rd, #01-02 Dempsey Hill, Singapore 249672.

Limited to just 10 participants per session, the masterclass blends culinary education with a memorable morning of creativity and tasting.

Perfect for couples, friends, or families, the experience is priced at S$60++ per guest and runs monthly from 10am to 12pm. After the class, continue your Italian escape at Fiamma with its vibrant summer menu, featuring wood-charred lamb, citrus risotto, and handmade tagliatelle with blue lobster. A festival highlight is Galician Day at At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy on 13 September. Michelin-starred Chef Miguel F. Vidal will present a special Galician Discovery Menu, paired with a bustling market of artisanal Spanish products.
