The annual Rose Romance exhibit at Gardens by the Bay is back for June, and this year it’s celebrating the diverse beauty of roses! Forget the classic red bloom – this event showcases over 70 unique rose varieties across nearly 16,000 plants.
Prepare to be surprised! You’ll find roses with just five petals, like the ‘Sunshine Babylon Eyes,’ creating a captivating illusion of a flower within a flower. On the other end of the spectrum, the ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ boasts a staggering over 90 petals in a deep pink shade. Even the color palette goes beyond the traditional. Look out for the ‘Black Baccara’ rose, with its dark, velvety red petals that almost appear black.
This year’s Rose Romance isn’t just about the flowers. The exhibit also features recreations of historical and geographical wonders from Turkey, the event’s partner country. So you can experience the beauty of roses alongside a touch of Turkish culture.
