Meryl Streep stars as The Washington Post’s Katherine Graham (the first female publisher of a major American newspaper), while Tom Hanks is Ben Bradlee (the paper’s editor). Set in the 1970s, historical drama political thriller produced and directed by Steven Spielberg sees the duo race to catch up with The New York Times to expose a massive cover-up of government secrets that spanned three decades and four U.S. Presidents, risking their careers – and their very freedom – to bring long-buried truths to light.
