Festive cooking takes the spotlight on the British broadcaster

Subscribers of the various BBC channels are in for lots of fun Christmas-themed programs this December! Teletubbies and The Great British Bake Off are both back for new seasons, while several other documentaries and a new mini-series adaptation of Vanity Fair make their premiere.
4. Vanity Fair
William Makepeace Thackeray’s classic 19th century novel Vanity Fair gets another adaptation, this time into a 7-part television mini-series. British director and writer Gwyneth Hughes takes the helm of the story of Becky Sharp, who’s determined to climb up the English social ladder and bring her family out of poverty. The humorous satire digs deep into the corruption of the aristocracy, against the chaos of the Napoleonic Wars and its aftermath.
Vanity Fair premieres on Friday, 7 December 2018, exclusively on BBC First (StarHub Channel 522) and on the BBC Player.
