WeekendList: 31 October – November 2025

Bring your kids down to Children’s Carnival this weekend while you immerse yourself in some me-time at Dom Pérignon.

1. Excite Your Child at Children’s Carnival

National Gallery Singapore is set to host its inaugural Children’s Carnival on 1 November 2025, from 11 AM to 6 PM. This special one-day event is part of the ongoing Gallery Children’s Biennale 2025 and invites families to experience art through vibrant and engaging activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity in children of all ages. Admission is free for all visitors, although some programs may require a ticket.

The full-day lineup is packed with playful entertainment and hands-on artistic collaboration. Families can expect unique experiences like a silent disco explicitly created for children, where kids can groove to their favorite tunes on individual wireless headphones. Interactive programs include an “Off World” painting workshop led by street artist ZERO, as well as a photography workshop where young participants use Polaroid cameras to capture the Biennale artworks. Furthermore, the carnival features lively performances, such as the fun-filled Mr. Bee’s Wondermakers circus show and the energetic “Block Party!” street dance performance.

As children journey through the eight Biennale artworks and various activities, they can collect station stamps to redeem a complimentary GCB-themed tote bag filled with keepsakes, including an Impressionism postcard for the Gallery’s upcoming Into the Modern exhibition. Adding to the fun, a complimentary milk bar, presented by Oatside, will be available for young visitors to recharge. The day also features a special Children’s Craft Fair, co-organized by Little U, where young entrepreneurs sell their own handmade goods, fostering independence and supporting the next Biennale. This carnival firmly establishes the Gallery’s commitment as an inclusive People’s Museum for the entire community.

National Gallery Singapore is located at 1 St. Andrew’s Road, Singapore 178957.

2. Dom Pérignon x Takashi Murakami Pop-up at Maison Garden

Dom Pérignon is launching a captivating new creative chapter titled “Creation is an Eternal Journey,” and a major stop is Singapore with a luxurious pop-up event featuring contemporary artist Takashi Murakami. Murakami, one of seven iconic global creators shaping the champagne house’s new vision, has designed two exclusive limited editions: one for Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 and another for the debut of Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010. These designs merge the champagne’s refined elegance with Murakami’s bold, “kawaii” smiling flowers and Superflat aesthetic, symbolizing a poetic dialogue that transcends time.

The essence of this collaboration is driven by a shared philosophy between Murakami and Chef de Cave Vincent Chaperon: that true tradition lies in the transmission of mastery through time, not stagnation. Murakami noted that his goal was to create a design that remains relevant decades from now, allowing future generations to “reimagine 2025.” This journey is brought to life physically at the Maison Garden pop-up in Singapore, running from now until 2 November  2025.

This exclusive experience offers guests an intense gastronomic encounter, featuring daily curated menus by renowned local chefs, including Sebastien Lepinoy (Les Amis) and David Pynt (Burnt Ends). Each chef will craft canapés paired perfectly with the new Vintage 2015 and Rosé 2009. Visitors can also purchase the highly anticipated limited-edition bottles and gift boxes at a dedicated retail space, ensuring the creative and celebratory experience extends well beyond the event itself.

Maison Garden is located at 13 Dempsey Road, #01-01, Singapore 249674.
