4. MOGA’s Opening Stories
Drawing inspiration from 1920s Japan and the Prohibition Era, MOGĀ—Japanese slang for ‘modern girls’—is a contemporary Japanese Izakaya renowned for its craft cocktails and innovative shared plates.
The cocktail program at MOGĀ Conversation results from a collaboration between Head Mixologist Marcus Liow and bar consultant Dario Knox from Knox Beverage Consulting. Among the offerings is the Geisha’s Garden, featuring Roku gin, jasmine tea, vanilla, citrus, and matcha; the Hana Sour, a shaken concoction made with Mute Muka Junmai Ginjo sake, St Germain elderflower liqueur, citrus, and vegan foam and more. For those seeking spirit-forward libations, the Lost in Translation features Nikka Coffee Malt Whisky as its base, providing a robust and complex flavor profile.
No Izakaya adventure would be complete without tantalizing cuisine. Anticipate Chef Villarba’s elevated, contemporary renditions of Izakaya favorites, inspired by his extensive culinary journey. From handrolls and sashimi to hot dishes and sandos, the menu boasts unfussy yet impeccably executed dishes, ideal for sharing and expertly complemented by cocktails for a complete Izakaya experience.
MOGA is located at 1 Hill St, Pullman, Singapore, 179949.
