After Jennie’s notable role in “The Idol”, Lisa is set to make her acting premiere in “The White Lotus,” marking the second appearance of a Blackpink member in an HBO series.
Lisa has recently joined the confirmed cast for the third instalment of The White Lotus alongside previously announced actors Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Walton Goggins, Dom Hetrakul, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Julian Kostov, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Aimee Lou Wood.
While the storyline for the third season of The White Lotus remains undisclosed, filming is set to commence later this month in various locations across Thailand, including Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok. HBO has partnered with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to facilitate the filming and promoting the upcoming instalment.
The inaugural season of The White Lotus, set in Hawaii and released in July 2021, garnered significant acclaim with 20 Emmy® nominations across 13 categories, securing ten awards – the highest number for any program that year, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. The second season, based in Sicily and premiered in December 2022, received 23 Emmy® nominations, including recognition in the Outstanding Drama Series category.
