MINT Museum of Toys is celebrating its first Christmas post the pandemic with a pop-up experiences-filled event – GUERRILLA, which offers pop-up shopping, exhibition, museum activities and featured F&B experiences. Exclusively made for the GUERRILLA event, 1 metre tall larger-than-life plush bears can be found resting around the museum to give visitors a sense of wonder and comfort.
The GUERRILLA event will be focusing on ‘Plush Toys’ which the museum has a wide collection of. You can take a look at their vintage plush toys consisting of bears and dolls at Level 3 Childhood Favourites, aimed at evoking a sense of familiarity and happy childhood memories. Plush toys have had their origins in stuffed animals and homemade rag dolls since the 1830s, and once teddy bears were created in 1902, they became increasingly popular. One of the oldest toys within the museum’s plush toy collection is a Century Old Steiff Teddy Bear made in 1903 by Margarete Steiff GmbH.
MINT Museum of Toys is located at 26 Seah St, Singapore 188382.
