8. The Gyu Bar’s Easter Specials
From 1 to 30 April 2022, the beef specialist at The Gyu Bar presents an exclusive a la carte menu showcasing Hida wagyu and Okinawa eggs. Hida wagyu from Gifu Prefecture is a breed of Japanese black cattle that is raised for at least 14 months. Earning the title of the Best Carcass Award in 2012, 2013 and 2015, Hida wagyu yields beautifully marbled meat. The meat is not only tender but is also full of flavour. The menu also highlights eggs from Sesoko Youkeji Farm, Okinawa Prefecture.
Highlights of the menu include a starter of Wagyu Tamago Yaki. It features layers of omelette encasing sirloin slices that are slow-cooked in a sweet sujini sauce for 24 hours. The Wagyu Kushi Katsu with Egg Yolk Dip is a skewer of deep-fried Hida wagyu sirloin katsu. It is paired with sukiyaki dip and raw egg yolk.
Hearty one-bowl dishes comprise Japanese curry rice and ochazuke. The Ishiyaki Wagyu Tamago Chazuke brings forth the rich flavours of Hida wagyu in two styles.
The Gyu Bar’s Easter specials are available daily for dine-in from 1 to 30 April 2022, during lunch (12pm to 3pm) and dinner (6pm to 10pm).
