3. BREADTALK’s Hoppy Prosperity Collection
BreadTalk’s auspicious line-up of festive treats comprises new creations such as adorable Rabbit and Carrot-themed buns, cakes and cookies featuring the Chinese zodiac sign of the year. Two definite highlights include the inventive 好采头 (S$2.30)– a riff on the local hawker classic “Chai tow kway” and a flavourful Mala-inspired bun brimming with quintessential steamboat ingredients. The eye-catching spicy Mala Pot 麻辣锅 (S$6.80) features hotpot ingredients such as mala chicken, crab stick, enoki mushroom, shimeiji mushroom, broccoli, lotus root, pork meatball, cherry tomato and tofu puffs. This inventive creation is a play on the popular mala steamboat soup base and symbolises the reunion of a family.
