Minecraft Comes To Mandai: A New Family Adventure Lands In Singapore

There is something fitting about Minecraft arriving at Mandai.

A game built around forests, villages, mines, portals and creatures now finds itself at the edge of one of Singapore’s greenest family destinations. From 24 April to 13 September 2026, Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue takes over Green Canvas at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, bringing the blocky world of Minecraft into real life for its first stop in Asia.

This is not a sit-down show or a look-but-don’t-touch exhibition. It is built more like a walk-through adventure, where guests enter the Minecraft universe, move through different realms, gather resources and work together to complete a rescue mission. The story is simple enough for younger children to follow, but familiar enough for fans who already know the thrill of crafting, mining and surviving after dark.

The mission is to save the villagers, and visitors become part of the journey from the moment they enter. Each guest receives an Orb of Interaction, a handheld device that lights up, vibrates and changes colour during the experience. It becomes the main tool for breaking blocks, collecting resources, fighting hostile mobs and interacting with the environment. For children who are used to playing Minecraft on a screen, this turns the usual keyboard or controller experience into something physical and shared.

The attraction unfolds across eight themed rooms, including the Forest, Crafting Room, Village, Explore, Mine Shafts, Portal, Crimson Forest, Nether and Brewing Stand. Each section lasts about 6 to 12 minutes, creating a steady rhythm that keeps the experience moving without feeling rushed. Over about an hour, guests travel through landscapes Minecraft players will recognise immediately, from familiar village settings to darker, more dramatic spaces inspired by the Nether.

One of the nice things about Minecraft Experience is that it does not require everyone in the group to be a gamer. A child who knows every mob and crafting recipe can enjoy pointing things out, while parents, grandparents or younger siblings can simply follow the story and take part through the Orb. It is accessible to newcomers, but still has enough references and interaction to feel rewarding for existing fans.

Tickets start from S$46 for adults and S$40 for children aged 3 to 12 on weekdays. On weekends, tickets start from S$51 for adults and S$44 for children aged 3 to 12. Children aged 0 to 2 may enter free, and children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Until 28 May 2026, there is also a weekday opening promotion for the Minecraft Experience and Exploria bundle, priced from S$61.10 for adults and S$49.60 for children aged 3 to 12.

The event will be taking place at Green Canvas at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, 80 Mandai Lake Road, Singapore 729826, which makes it easy to pair with other Mandai attractions, a meal nearby or a relaxed family afternoon away from the city centre. It feels less like dropping by a pop-up in a mall and more like making a proper outing of it.
