Singapore’s First MINISO FRIENDS Opens At VivoCity With YOYO’s First Overseas Exhibition

Officially launched on 25 April 2026 at Basement 1 of VivoCity, Singapore’s largest shopping mall, MINISO FRIENDS marks the debut of MINISO’s top-tier FRIENDS retail concept in Singapore.

More than just a lifestyle store, MINISO FRIENDS VivoCity is designed as an immersive retail experience. Spanning approximately 450 square metres, the space features over 3,200 curated products across collectibles, homeware, lifestyle, beauty, and gifting categories. Its open-concept layout encourages exploration, discovery, and social interaction, positioning the store as both a shopping destination and a weekend hangout.

Inside, visitors can explore 12 interactive IP-themed zones, brought to life through bold colours, playful displays, and scene-based design. The result is a highly visual, photo-friendly environment ideal for browsing with friends and discovering new character worlds.

At the entrance, a striking YOYO installation immediately sets the tone. YOYO, MINISO’s original IP character, is known for its warm, comforting identity centred on companionship.

A key highlight of the opening is the extensive YOYO product showcase. MINISO FRIENDS Singapore features Southeast Asia’s most comprehensive YOYO collection, including the first overseas release of the Vinyl Plush Hanging Card. This exclusive range enhances the store’s appeal for collectors while reflecting MINISO’s growing focus on building its own character universe beyond licensed collaborations.

To celebrate the launch, MINISO is also hosting YOYO’s first overseas exhibition, “YOYO’s Singapore Travel Diary,” running across VivoCity until 13 May 2026. The mall-wide showcase features 13 large-scale installations across indoor and outdoor spaces, extending the MINISO FRIENDS experience beyond the store.

Inspired by a travel diary concept, the exhibition blends YOYO’s soft, playful identity with iconic Singapore elements. Visitors can expect giant YOYO sculptures, oversized camera installations, local landmark-inspired details, creative photo frames, and interactive mirror art spaces. These highly photogenic installations are designed to attract families, tourists, collectors, and social media enthusiasts alike.

Beyond YOYO, the store also introduces one of MINISO’s most extensive IP lineups in Singapore. Shoppers can explore popular collaborations such as Sanrio characters, Monchhichi, and Chiikawa, as well as Singapore-exclusive Mickey Mouse merchandise featuring Merlion-inspired designs. Selected collections, including the Chiikawa Sakura series, are also making their overseas debut. In addition, MINISO has launched its latest collaboration with Star Wars characters, expanding its appeal to fans of global pop culture.

With its immersive store design, diverse IP collaborations, Singapore-exclusive merchandise, and YOYO’s first overseas exhibition, MINISO FRIENDS VivoCity is set to become more than just a retail space. It represents a new lifestyle and social destination in Singapore, adding fresh energy to the city’s character-led retail scene.
