5. Get ready for some graded fun
Due to its mountainous terrain, NZ boasts some outstanding white-water rivers. They are graded according to their level of difficulty. This is the most adventurous way to see the dramatic river gorges the destination has to offer. What’s more, anyone can give rafting a go with the easy grade one rapids to the challenging grade fives. The Shotover River, the Skippers Canyon and the Kawarau River are the local hot-spots for white-water rafting.
