A Magical Weekend In Hong Kong: Disney Adventures, Hong Kong Palace Museum, And A COA Cocktail Feast!

We discovered new ways to experience Hong Kong!

Last weekend, Team Weekended was invited by the Greater Bay Airlines (大湾区航空) to spend a weekend revisiting Hong Kong, a place we hadn’t been to in a long time. This time, we explored the city in a completely new way, from our stay to our activities and dining experiences.

Accommodation:

This time, I chose to stay at the Regala Skycity Hotel, which is located near the airport. Surprisingly, it’s not at all inconvenient to get around when you stay at a hotel near the airport!

The Regala Skycity Hotel is a five-star hotel located on Lantau Island in Hong Kong, adjacent to Hong Kong International Airport. Because the hotel is very close to Hong Kong International Airport, it is very convenient for passengers with early and late flights.

The hotel also provides a free shuttle bus service to and from the airport, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge shuttle bus station, Sea Sky Pier, Tung Chung MTR station and Hong Kong Disneyland, making it easy for guests to get to major attractions.

The hotel’s modern facilities include multiple restaurants, a fitness center, a swimming pool and meeting facilities. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the facilities are very complete.

Overall, my stay at the Regala Skycity Hotel was exceptional. Its proximity to the airport and convenient transport options, combined with luxurious accommodations and excellent facilities, made it ideal for relaxation and easy access to Hong Kong’s attractions. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable stay.

Fun:

A trip to Hong Kong isn’t complete without a visit to Disneyland! The stations are closely built together, and there aren’t many people, so you can finish most of the rides in one day.

And the newest one is also the world’s first Frozen themed land, which will definitely make all the little fairies with princess dreams scream! The iconic fountain and clock tower from the animated film, Princess Elsa’s ice castle on the snowy mountain, the European-style shops in the town, and almost all the boats docked at the pier are completely restored! There are two facilities there. The first one has a height restriction of 95cm, while the second one has no height restriction, allowing more children to participate and experience it.

If you’re looking to meet the most popular Disney characters, such as Duffy, ShellieMay, StellaLou, Gelatoni, CookieAnn, Olmec, and LinaBell, you won’t have to wait in long lines at Hong Kong Disneyland. Just download the official app, make a reservation in advance, or purchase a FastPass ticket, and you’ll be on your way to meet your favorite characters for a fun-filled interaction and photo opportunity!

For those who want to take in the breathtaking panoramic views of Hong Kong, a visit to the SKY 100 on the 100th floor of ICC (International Commerce Centre) in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, is a must. Standing at an altitude of 393 meters, SKY 100 offers 360-degree unobstructed views of the city, including iconic landmarks like Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong Island, Kowloon Peninsula, and the New Territories. On a clear day, the views are especially stunning.

If you are interested in history, art, and culture, the Hong Kong Palace Museum is a must-visit. The museum showcases a vast collection of precious artefacts from the Palace Museum in Beijing, including paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, bronzes, and embroidery. The modern exhibition design and multimedia technology enhance the visitor experience, making the exhibits more engaging and informative. The museum building itself is also a highlight. It was designed by renowned architects and incorporates traditional and modern elements, creating a visually striking exterior. So don’t forget to snap some photos!
