2. Cherry blossom river cruise, Japan
No jostling with crowds for a prime view of the coveted sakura here – this Matsukawa River Cruise in Toyama, Japan, will bring you down a path right in the middle of two cherry blossom-lined avenues. Imagine being flanked by these pastel beauties.
The Matsukawa River, also known as the Jinzu River, historically protected the Toyama Castle and was an major shipping pathway in the Toyama region. Today, hundreds of cherry trees that line the river, making it one of Toyama’s best hanami (cherry-blossom viewing) spots.
