With the fiery debacle that took place last year, one can hazard a guess that there is more pressure riding on Samsung's next iteration. But like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Samsung has brushed off the naysayers and released the Galaxy Note 8, in pretty colourways of Orchid Gray, Maple Gold and Deep Sea Blue - just to name a few.

Though the fingerprint sensor is annoyingly placed right next to the rear camera lens, here are 5 highlights of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 you should know about.

2. Even the stylus has gotten an upgrade

While not a brand new feature of the Note line, the handy dandy S-Pen is waterproof, more sensitive, and has a smaller tip for easier writing. The improved stylus comes in conjunction with the Note8’s Screen Off Memos, where you can write notes, reminders, sketches etc even on the lock screen, and the Translate which now translates sentences instead of single words.

Another feature that utilises the S-Pen is the Live Messages program, where you can write or draw, and then finally send as animated form.
