The premise is simple, but intense. Obsessed by what lies beyond the confines of life, five medical students challenge themselves to a daring experiment. By voluntarily stopping their hearts for short periods of time to trigger near-death experiences, they attempt to gain a firsthand insight into the afterlife. A sequel to the cult 1990 horror film, the 2017 version stars Ellen Page and Nina Dobrev, as well as Kiefer Sutherland who also appeared in the original movie.
