The spin-off film from the Fast and Furious series centres on lawman Luke Hobbs (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) and outcast Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), who first met in the 2015 Fast and Furious 7 movie. They never really saw eye to eye, but this time, they have a common enemy. Hobbs and Shaw reunite to take down a cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist named Brixton (Idris Elba), who is threatening the very existence of humanity.
