The immensely popular EX-FILE franchise returns with its fourth instalment, where we follow the journey of friends Meng Yun and Yu Fei as they reach an age where discussions about marriage become inevitable.
To preempt potential issues in their future marriage, Yu and his girlfriend Ding Dian decide to establish a “marriage cooling-off period” to gain a preview of post-marital life. The challenges and complexities of married life become significant tests for their relationship.
Meanwhile, Meng’s surroundings, including changes in his circle of friends and parental pressures, prompt him to contemplate marriage. During an unexpected alumni gathering, Meng crosses paths with his first love, rekindling feelings that have remained dormant for years. This reconnection offers a glimmer of hope, but the question remains: Could this woman truly be the one he’s been searching for?
