2. Money No Enough 3 (钱不够用3: 全部够)

Ah Hui, Ah Qiang, and Ah Huang have been close friends for a long time. Ah Hui, a man with modest ambitions, and his assertive wife, Hui-sao, had hoped that their son Roy, freshly discharged from national service, would take over the family’s porridge shop. However, with Roy’s refusal, the couple contemplates selling the shop and retiring.

Ah Qiang, once a prosperous entrepreneur before the pandemic hit, now makes a living as a Private-hire driver after his business failed. He frequently laments to his wife, embodying the common struggles of someone in a mid-life crisis. Ah Qiang and Qiang-sao also express concerns about their son Ian, who appears to be idling and not actively pursuing employment.

As a single parent, Ah Huang is compassionate and always ready to help friends in need despite his modest income. Alongside his daughter Kim, who has recently entered the workforce, they find joy in each other’s company and support each other through their work challenges.

In this swiftly changing digital era, the three families soon face predicaments. Will their evolving values and attitudes toward money jeopardize their bond? Is money truly the root of all problems?
