This science-fiction thriller follows a group of death-row prisoners who participate in a dangerous mission far out in deep space to search for alternative energy sources from a black hole. The movie opens with Monte (Robert Pattinson) and his baby daughter being the sole survivors remaining on the spaceship. As we go back in time, we discover the existential terror the in-mates face as they get further into the mission and the scientific experiments that ship leader Dr Dibs (Juliette Binoch) is running on them.
