2. Mat Champion
It was sold out when it was first staged in 2007, and now Mat Champion is back for another run from 4 to 7 July, with an updated script and a brand new cast! Presented by Teater Ekamatra, the Malay language children’s play tells a fun and empowering story about friendship and what it means to be a hero – important messages that are relevant to all ages! It follows the boys of Mat Champion and the girls of Minah Rong Geng, long-time rivals who finally decide to join forces in order to become superheroes, and reclaim their jati diri (identity). The show stars Fir Rahman, Farhana M Noor, Munah Bagharib, Norisham Osman, Siti Maznah Mustaffa and Syaiful Ariffin. It will be performed in Malay with English surtitles.
