Perhaps you want to avoid all reminders of romance during Valentine’s Day and just get lost in a fast-paced action thriller? Then Nicole Kidman’s Destroyer is what you’re looking for. We almost couldn’t recognise Kidman in her makeup as detective Erin Bell, but that kind of fits with Bell’s history of going undercover to infiltrate a gang, which didn’t end very well and still haunts her in the present. As she struggles to solve a new case, the leader of the gang makes a sudden reappearance, and Bell will not give up the chance to finally bring closure to the tragic past.
