Produced by talk show icon Ellen DeGeneres, HGTV’s reality show will change how you see furniture and interior design
You will never see furniture the same way again after watching Ellen Degeneres’ new reality TV show, “Ellen’s Design Challenge”.
The HGTV show puts six talented furniture designers to the ultimate test in Los Angeles as they compete in various challenges in furniture construction and design. The catch? Everything has to be completed in only 24 hours.
Stars who come in handy
Each contestant will be equipped with a workshop, a lead carpenter and basic tools. They will also be assisted by an additional team of HGTV handymen made up of the channel’s television personalities: Jeff Devlin, Brooks Utley, Karl Champley, Chip Wade, David Sheinkopf and Matt Muenster.
See how each participant overcomes obstacles like conflicts, game-changing twists and unconventional material to produce extraordinary yet functional furniture pieces.
Contestants will be eliminated one by one via a panel of expert judges, including designer Christiane Lemieux, editor Amanda Dameron, furniture manufacturer Jason Chauncey and celebrity interior designer Cliff Fong.
Hosting the show is actor Jay Montepare, and viewers can also look forward to special appearances by DeGeneres, who serves as the show’s executive producer.
