One World: Together At Home Virtual Concert

Let’s all agree that our lives have been affected due to Covid-19.

Our kids can no longer attend school, work has stopped for some and the elderly can no longer take a stroll in the park or gather at the void decks.

A couple in Boon Keng was fined for being outdoors and not adhering to safe distancing measures. Singapore Police Force was called in as well. Let us all do our part to keep everyone safe by practicing social distancing and staying at home!

The number of COVID-19 infected cases is on the rise and we had more than 700 confirmed cases yesterday.

Such news may be depressing but if you look at it from another light, we are surrounded by angels of different races and people from different countries. Some donated masks, while some donated food to help the people in need. We may not share the same race or religion, but deep down, we know that we care for each other. Isn’t it beautiful?

The World Health Organization has collaborated with Global Citizen for a global broadcast that will take place at home, on 18 April 2020 for the first time ever.

It is a global broadcast & digital special to support frontline healthcare workers and the WHO.

The broadcast is curated in collaboration with Lady Gaga and other artists such as Coldplay, Dion, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend are also part of the #TogetherAtHome playlist.

All of them have one thing in mind. They hope that you will take the pledge to stay at home and listen to One World: Together at Home Spotify Playlist.

After the announcement, even big names such as David Beckham, Taylor Swift and Super M will be making special appearances too. If you love Hongkong pop, icons such as Jacky Cheung and Eason Chan who will also be part of One World: Together at home broadcast.

The other Asian celebs Emirati singer Hussain Al Jassmi, Indian actors Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, composer Vishal Mishra, Chinese concert pianist Lang Lang, and Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka.

Does this broadcast remind you of Live Aid concert in 1985? Prince Charles and Princess Diana opened Live Aid, a worldwide rock concert organised to raise funds for the relief of famine-stricken Africans.

One World: Together At Home will be live at 8am, 19 April 2020. The delayed version will be played at 9.30pm.
