As a kid who grew up in the Eighties, Underwater World Sentosa was a staple in my childhood.

Memories of strolling through the iconic tunnel and glancing overhead at the shoals of fishes left me fascinated and overjoyed, as with watching the dolphin shows.

If like me, you had fond memories of the tourist attraction, don’t miss the chance to visit it before the park ceases operations on June 26.

As of now, the pink dolphins, fur seals and otters have already been moved to the Chimelong Ocean Kingdom (COK), an oceanarium in Zhuhai, China.

As we look back on the happiness this place brought us, here are nine things we’ll miss:

1. Walking through this tunnel and being fascinated by the fishes overhead

2. The calming effect of the floating jelly fishes

3. Saying hi to the ‘smiling’ stingray

4. Getting up close and personal with the friendly dolphins

5. Taking magical shots like these

6. Getting acquainted with the underwater world

7. Swimming with the Indo-Pacific humpbacked dolphins

8. Watching the daily shows

9. And meeting the adorable otters

Visitors can now revisit family memories at Underwater World Singapore at its 1991 Opening Ticket Price of $9 per adult and $5 per child.
