To help parents who are looking for interesting things to engage their young ones at home, National Gallery Singapore will be adding new activities and resources weekly on its dedicated website Gallery Kids! to immerse children and teenagers in art.
These activities range from interactive games and masterclasses to art-inspired storytelling video sessions and art tutorials. Some highlights that parents can look forward to including:
– My INK-credible Adventure Interactive Game – Inspired by the space of the same name at the Keppel Centre for Art Education (KCAE)
– Artist masterclass – Hear from artists such as Singaporean painter Yeo Shih Yun on the process of making art, exploring the different mediums, and experimenting with various techniques.
– I-Spy Game – Children between 4 and 9 years old can don their detective hats in this weekly I-Spy Game where they are prompted with questions to identify items, colours and patterns.
