2021 Chinese New Year Events to Look Out For

1. Chinatown Festivals 2021

Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebrations 2021 will kick start from 23 January to 12 March 2021 with streets light-up as its key highlight. The Organising Committee is committed to continuing the Chinese traditions and celebrations to bring festive cheers to everyone.

This year street light-up will feature sculptured lanterns of the Ox, gold coins, golden ingots, flowers and greetings, etc., combining traditions with modern design, visitors will be enthralled by the creativity of the contemporary street light-up design.

Enjoy three specially produced short films featuring renowned Chinatown Merchants such as Bee Cheng Hiang, Kele and Spring Court. The short films will bring the audience through a journey on the preparation of various Chinese New year’s delicacies and how these delicacies came to be associated with the festival and traditions.
