2. Shang Palace commemorates its first MICHELIN star with A Treasured Legacy
To commemorate the restaurant’s first MICHELIN star in the 2021 edition of MICHELIN Guide Singapore, Shang Palace presents a duo of sophisticated tasting menus created to tell the story of its journey to the star with a medley of award-winning signatures, exquisite new creations and a prelude of what’s to come.
From 18 October to 30 November 2021, guests can enjoy A Treasured Legacy’s special menus (6-Course Lunch: $98++ per person/6-Course Dinner: $158++ per person) at Shang Palace.
For lunch, Shang Palace sets the tone with a Dim Sum Trio which features the Traditional Barbecued Pork Belly Glazed with Honey Sauce, and new additions to the restaurant’s Dim Sum menu, Shang Palace Steamed Shrimp Dumplings with Beetroot and Steamed Crystal Dumplings with Assorted Mushroom, Bamboo Fungus and Black Truffle.
The dinner menu adopts a more innovative and refined approach showcasing flair and mastery. A delicate balance of creativity and heritage is evident in the first course, consisting of Foie Gras with Red Wine Jelly, Barbecued Pork Loin Glazed with Honey Sauce, and Deep-fried Taro Pastry with Roasted Duck and Water Chestnut. A sensory treat for fine food lovers, the foie gras is presented as a pair of red cherries. The foie gras is first made into a mousse before moulding into shape and coated with red wine and beetroot jelly.
