Founded by celebrity chef Dharshan Munidasa and cricketing legends Mahela Jayawardena and Kumar Sangakkara, the Ministry of Crab has garnered international acclaim for its unwavering commitment to quality. Their signature dish, the Sri Lankan mud crab, is flown thrice weekly, ensuring the freshest possible seafood for their discerning clientele. Each serving ranges from 500g to the colossal Crabzilla (over 2kg).

Starting at S$75++ for a 500g crab, guests can savour these succulent delights prepared in various tantalising flavours. The signature “Garlic Chilli Crab” is a must-try, combining the unexpected harmony of Italian olive oil, Japanese soy sauce, and Sri Lankan crab for a truly unforgettable taste sensation.

For those seeking a fiery kick, the “MOC Original Recipe Spicy Crab” delivers a bold and exhilarating flavour profile using Sri Lanka’s fiery red chillies. Alternatively, the “Black Pepper Dashi Crab” offers a sophisticated blend of the crab’s natural sweetness with the robust flavours of Sri Lankan black pepper. To taste the island’s culinary heritage, the “Sri Lankan Curry Crab” is a comforting and aromatic dish featuring an array of spices and fragrant herbs. A tip for the ultimate crab experience: Pre-order the Pure Crab at least six hours in advance to allow for optimal preparation, ensuring the crab’s natural sweetness shines through.

Beyond the mud crab, the star of the show, Ministry of Crab’s menu boasts a variety of other seafood delights expertly prepared to showcase the natural flavours of the ingredients. From succulent prawns, oysters, and clams to perfectly grilled fish, there’s something to satisfy every seafood lover.

Starting from the impressive selection of giant freshwater prawns ranging from 150g to the colossal Prawnzilla (over 500g), these succulent prawns can be enjoyed in a variety of flavours. These include the signature Garlic Chilli Prawn, Butter Soy Prawn, Pepper Prawn, Chilli Prawn, and Olive Oil and soy Prawn, with prices starting at S$25 for the 150g prawn.

Complementing the prawn selection, the fish on the menu features King Mackerel prepared in three distinct styles: Batayaki (seared with butter), Teriyaki (with Chef Dharshan’s homemade sauce), and Olive Oil and soy Sauce Grilled. Each dish is priced at S$25.

Other top recommendations include the crowd-pleasing Clams (S$20) prepared in a classic Japanese style. Also the Baked Crab (S$30). There is also the comforting Crab Chawanmushi (S$15) and the hearty Prawn Bisque ($30).

The menu also includes non-seafood options like chicken to cater to a wider audience. The must-try within the chicken segment include the Chicken Curry Rice (S$20). A classic Sri Lankan dish with boneless dark-meat chicken. There are also two Japanese-inspired options: Chicken Teriyaki (S$15) and Olive Oil & Soy Sauce Grilled Chicken (S$12).
