#HawkerTreasures Savouring The Taste Of Tradition At Tiong Bahru Food Centre

So.. what's next for lunch?

Having grown up right next to Tiong Bahru market and food centre— it was a delightful trip down memory lane when the Weekender team decided to come here for lunch. Whoever who said food evokes memory was certainly right; the taste of sweet charsiew roasted pork rice and Tiong Bahru da-bao is like a blast from the past, as I remember growing up in my great-grandmother's household, and these dishes being the weekly centrepieces for our Sunday family brunches.

Come with us, as we take you for a taste of tradition while we scour Tiong Bahru Food Centre for some of the best nostalgic eats.

3. Jian Bo Chwee Kueh, $2.50

For fans of the Bedok Chwee Kueh, we were pleasantly surprised with the standard of their salty and sweet turnip topping! The chilli packed on decent heat and overall; it makes for a great dish to whet up your appetite!
