The wine pairing is the revered Malbec from Terrazas de los Andes, a singular vineyard at the foot of Argentina’s Andes, – a tipple that has inspired some of these restaurant’s culinary heads to fire up premium cuts of beef to complement the aromatic complexity of the full-bodied Terrazas Reserva Malbec 2016 and the Terrazas Single Vineyard Malbec 2014. If there’s one restaurant to choose from to taste this fine wine, we say head to Skirt at W Sentosa that pairs both vintages with the steakhouse’s 30-day dry aged Tomahawk ($188) that comes with a side of bone marrow gravy. While experiences may vary, we tasted the distinct notes of dark cherry, smokiness, and acidity that showcase the true nature of the sought-after Malbec wine.
