Singapore Cocktail Festival 2017 returns from 16 to 21 Mar, and with it, comes a six day calendar of masterclasses, cocktail competitions, festival village and more.
Built around the theme “Taste, Learn and Play", the festival aims to showcase bartending talents and let cocktail enthusiasts discover more about the drinks they love.
5. Bar battles and cocktail competitions
Feel the heat of the competition as nine bartending teams representing countries such as Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines and Singapore pit their skills in the Asia Bar Battle.
Teams will be challenged to create a cocktail experience that best represents their homeland.
The final knock-out round will be held on Sunday, 19 Mar, and the contending team with the most number of cocktails sold and best entertains the audience will emerge the champion.
Plus, visitors will also have the opportunity to decide which cocktail to crown as “Singapore’s Next Top Cocktail”.
The search for a cocktail that represents our cosmopolitan city kicks off on 15 Jan, where bartenders will submit their recipes and go through two rounds of shortlisting by industry experts.
The final four bartenders will present their cocktails for voting by the public at the village.
