The British biographical war drama film directed by Joe Wright (most renowned for directing Pride and Prejudice in 2005) stars Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill and follows his early days as Prime Minister, while Hitler closes in on Britain during World War II. Whether or not you’re a history buff, you’ll be applauding Oldman’s performance, with many critics saying it’s the best of his career, one which earnt him a nomination for Best Actor – Drama at the 75th Golden Globes Awards.
