5. Donizetti’s Don Pasquale
This will be the first time that Donizetti’s Italian comic masterpiece is staged in Singapore. The masterpiece will take place at Victoria Concert Hall on 19 Oct 2019, 7.30pm, 20 Oct 2019, 4.30pm.
The opera will be set in present-day Singapore – with an original script, fresh dialogue in English and Singlish and relatable characters modelled after familiar figures in Singaporean society – think a rich “towkay”, a “chiobu” and a rich man’s son! Doesn’t it sound interesting?
