Celebrate International Women’s Day with Captain Marvel and female-centric local stage productions
1. Kotor
Mark International Women’s Day (8 March) by delving deep into social constructions of gender and womanhood. From 7 to 10 March, local artist collective -wright Assembly brings together men and women of different art disciplines (from dance and theatre to multimedia) to present Kotor, an innovative performance that responds to Natalie Wang’s poetry collection The Woman Who Turned Into A Vending Machine. Come prepared to broaden your perspectives on the modern female identity, the increasingly relevant issue of sexual abuse, what it means to be a “feminist,” and more.
