It’s that time of the year again! The M1 Fringe Festival is making its return from 16 to 27 January! Join the Necessary Stage team as they celebrate some of the most innovative and thought-provoking works of theatre, dance, music, visual arts and mixed media, created by talented artists from Singapore and around the world. This year, the festival focuses on the theme of “Still Waters,” digging deep into the oft-forgotten or suppressed histories and modern experiences. Highlights include “Jogging: Theatre in Progress,” a one-woman play performed in Arabic (with English subtitles) by Lebanese artist Hanane Hajj Ali; “Angkat: A Definitive, Alternative, Reclaimed Narrative of a Native,” a genre-defying production by Nabilah Said & Noor Effendy Ibrahim; and “This is Where,” a photography exhibition on migrant workers in Singapore society, already being presented now at selected bus shelters around the city.
