6. MacRitchie Reservoir

Distance: 5km and 10km routes are both available.

The oldest reservoir in Singapore and a popular site for races, the MacRitchie Reservoir is no stranger to many runners and hikers. With lots of trails to choose from, the reservoir lets you customise your run to your personal fitness and experience level. From a narrow jungle trail beside tall green trees, to a boardwalk by the water, you can soak in a variety of peaceful scenery. If you need to catch your breath, take the 8km Treetop Walk, where you can get an awe-inspiring bird’s eye view of the entire forest canopy.
