These are the most beautiful corners of the world, brought to you in stunning picturesque moments
This is the stuff of dreams – quite literally. The El Salar de Uyuni salt flat in Bolivia appears like an endless mirage of heaven.
Sprawled out at 10,582 square kilometers, the Salar is the world’s largest salt flat. It is located in the Daniel Campos Province in Potosí, southwest Bolivia, near the crest of the Andes. It was formed as a result of transformations between several prehistoric lakes.
Now, it serves as a major transport route across the Bolivian Altiplano. You can spot a large population of several pink flamingo species here too. As the Salar is located far from the cities, hotels have been built around the area for visitors.
