See them before the big crowds arrive
So you've waded through the sea of tourists at the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City; now it's time to take a break from the crowds and find tranquility in the less man-made wonders that China is famous for. 2. Shuangru Peaks
We probably should slap a ‘NSFW’ sign over this picture… Located in Zhenfeng County, the Shuangru mountain peaks literally translate to “Double-Breast Peaks.” One look at them, from any angle and distance, and you can see why. The unique and mysterious natural wonder has attracted many tourists and geologists to marvel at or study it, while the local Bouyei ethnic group worship the peaks as the “Earth Mother.” To get a great view and photos, wander through the surrounding scenic area, where there’s also a little stone forest and village worth checking out.
