If you’re a Disney fan who has a soft spot for adorable supporting characters, you’ll want to check out this hotel on your next trip to Hong Kong.
On 30 Apr, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort will be opening its third hotel, the Disney Explorers Lodge. The seven-storey hotel will have 750 hotel rooms, each featuring an open-sea view or a landscape view of one of the four themed gardens surrounding the hotel.
These gardens are where the characters come to life, and are all named after characters from beloved Disney and Disney-Pixar animated films.
The Kevin Garden, which has a South American theme, is named after the giant bird in Up.
The Little Squirt Garden of Oceania celebrates the playful sea turtle from Finding Nemo, and reflects the sights and sounds of Oceania.
Named after the baby elephant from The Jungle Book, the Hathi Jr Garden immerses guests in the heart of Asia.
The Rafiki Garden, which has an African Savannah theme, is named after the wise mandrill from The Lion King.
The hotel also has other nature-themed features like the Dreamer’s Spring and the outdoor Rain Drop Pool, as well as three themed restaurants.
Before its opening, the hotel is rolling out special offers for bookings. Guests can enjoy a complimentary character buffet breakfast for two adults in the Chinese restaurant Dragon Wind and a photo moment with a Disney character, or a 20 per cent discount with the “2 Nights Plus Offer”.
Guests who book a standard room can also enjoy a free upgrade to a deluxe room. The offer is now available at the Hong Kong Disneyland website.
Furthermore, guests staying at the Disney Explorers Lodge or the other two resort hotels will receive a Priority Admission Pass for selected attractions and seat reservations for stage shows in the park. Priority Admission Passes will be issued according to the number of guests in each room, with a maximum of four guests per room.
The Disney Explorer Lodge will open on 30 Apr.
