Loi Krathong is one of the most picturesque festivals of Thailand, falling on the night of full moon of the 12th lunar month. Couples dressed in traditional outfits would gather around lakes to appreciate the goddess of water by releasing a lotus-shaped float made out of banana leaves, incense sticks, flowers, and coins. As Loi Krathong coincides with Yi Peng, another festival that celebrates the full moon, visitors will also light lanterns and launch them into the air for a brilliant spectacle. Loi Krathong is free for all event and it takes place at various areas of Bangkok.
