Holsten’s Diner in “The Sopranos”

Featured in the famous finale of hit drama “The Sopranos”, Holsten’s Brookdale Confectionery Ice Cream Parlour is a real restaurant located in Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA. It shot to popularity due to the hotly debated series finale, “Made in America”.

In the episode, the Soprano family gathers in Holsten’s for a peaceful dinner in the aftermath of a mob war. However, the scene abruptly cuts to black after a short, final glimpse at protagonist Tony Soprano.

When actor James Gandolfini, who portrayed Soprano, passed away in 2013, the diner reserved the booth where the Soprano family sat for a month in homage. The table is now available to customers, except for Saturdays when the Soprano’s tour bus stops by.

The bus visits other key “Sopranos” locations like Bada Bing, Barone Sanitation, Pizzaland and Father Phil’s Parish.
