7. Northbridge, Perth

Near Perth railway station lies the little city’s seat of urban arts and culture, Northbridge, which incidentally also holds the state’s highest concentration of small bars, pubs and clubs. These can mostly be found on William, James and Lake Streets.

Arts enthusiasts will find a gem between Beaufort and William Streets: The Perth Cultural Centre is a cluster of cultural institutions, where you can catch a museum exhibition or live performance. Northbridge is also home to Perth’s Chinatown, where the Chinese yum cha tradition is an institution on weekend mornings.
