6. Jimi Hendrix’s Hawaii home

In 1970, rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix filmed the 1971 concert movie Rainbow Bridge in Hawaii, where he took up residence at a private home known as The Gingerbread House.

The 1930s cottage is a humble and cosy gated property that is now open to guests. The property can accommodate two and must be rented for a minimum of three nights.
