Have you ever wanted to fly like the Na’vi in James Cameron’s Avatar, be launched into the core of the Alien vs Predator standoff or enjoy the rush of a Star Wars-themed adventure?
Soon, film buffs and adrenaline junkies alike will be able to do all these and more, some without having to venture too far from Singapore.
We suss out the six upcoming theme parks and attractions that you can look out for on your next holiday.

Opening on Jun 16, Shanghai Disney Resort brings with it perennial favourites from other Disneyland parks, as well as surprising attractions that can’t be found anywhere else.
For example, it will reportedly launch the aerial adventure “Soaring Over the Horizon”, which carries guests away on an immersive journey to visit world wonders like the Great Wall of China, the Pyramids of Egypt and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This ride will be based in the Adventure Isle themed area.
It will also be home to a Tron-themed indoor roller coaster called “Tron Lightcycle Power Run”, which has never appeared in any other Disney park in the world. Shanghai Disneyland will also offer the world’s first Mandarin production of the popular Lion King Broadway show.

Other exciting attractions to look forward to in this new park are the indoor Marvel Universe, an Alice in Wonderland maze, a Star Wars Launch Bay and a Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
