2. Visit Penang’s longest cafe

A traditional compound of three heritage building linked by an open air courtyard, ChinaHouse is now a 100m stretch of retail, art gallery, live music, lounge, and restaurant. Order a slice of cake, a pint of craft beer, and just take it slow as you watch the baristas do their thing. If you’re looking for a stroll, there’s an art space upstairs which hosts frequent exhibitions, comedy clubs, film screenings, and other art programmes. You never know what event you might bump into when you visit, and we think that’s beautiful and serendipitous.
