9. Cifantuan or Ci Faan (Glutinous rice balls)

Almost as addictive as doughnut balls, cifantuan or ci faan are rice balls filled with various flavorful local ingredients.  Savoury rice balls are the most common and they tend to come with fillings like aha cai (pickled vegetable), rousing (pork floss) and youtiao (long golden-brown strips of deep-fried dough). Those with a sweet touch can try the sweet variations.
